Weight Loss Journey Update

Published on 11 June 2025 at 12:48

Hey guys, I just wanted to share an update with you about my weight. Back in May of 24, I shared a little story about my weight loss journey started in March of 24. I was down 13 pounds then, now in June of 25, it's a total of 70 pounds. I'm proud of myself, with 80 pounds left to drop, I will be at my goal weight of 150 pounds. I want to also add that although I am set for 150 to be my goal, I do want to lose maybe 20 more. I'm sure this is very what the heck news for you all, but I feel like someone out there is going to say to themselves, if she did it, I can do it too. Remembering that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

Being a woman, weight is a struggle for most of us throughout life. If you were blessed to be able to eat everything in sight and remain a bean pole, then bless your heart. I am NOT, nor have I EVER been that woman. Hard work has been the way of my weight loss life. Trust me it really gets harder as we get older. With that being said, I have a bad knee, shoulder and back, all due to hard labor (child care) wrong lifting and bending to lift and of course the ever so popular  being overweight . So picture me exercising...yea, pretty funny. I watch a youngish guy on YouTube who does Arthritis Exercises, that's what I do for exercise. Chair exercises for arthritis. I love them and they really help. So I couple this joint movement in the water (Aquatics) which I really don't care for the water and can't swim. But being 5 feet tall and in 3 1/2 feet of water still does not bring me faith that I wont float off my feet or give me confidence in a pool noodle. I aced the exercises even though I was on the last stair into the pool and holding onto the railing for dear life. I figure as time goes on, I will gain my confidence in the water. So my regimen for weight loss is not like the average woman's, but it's productive for me. I went from 303 pounds to 233 pounds in a year and 3 months. I know that it sounds like forever, but hey, no gimmicks, not short cuts, just eating healthy and exercising. Slow but steady wins the race. So I pray this update has helped someone today.

As always, before I end a blog post, I like to extend invitations to people that want to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If that's you today, just recite this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life to You. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That He died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my Victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Amen.

If you recited this prayer, then you are saved according to Romans Chapter 10 verses 9 and 10. If you don't have a bible, use your cell phone and download the You Version Bible App until you get a bible, and if you don't have a church, please search for a good bible teaching, truth speaking church. Pray and God will send you to the right church, He will answer. I am so proud of you and I would like to welcome you to the family. The angels in heaven are rejoicing for you.

If you need someone to talk to please don't hesitate to email me at beingmirandak@urbeauty4asheswm8.com. Remember, I love you with the love of the Lord. Til next post, be blessed.💕😊💕

Thanks for reading today and may God be the painter of your canvas!
